Two

Two amazing days of wall to wall sunshine and blue skies up here in the Highlands.
A stunning shot taken by Andy out of our bedroom window.
Then we got up early for sunrise on day 2 of sunshine.

Sadly the weather has reverted to rain and fog today and we can just about make out the island.

  2. Tell Andy he took a winner there - should enter it in a contest!!
Since we put the clocks forward last weekend I've been getting up at dawn and really enjoying an early start. Yesterday was very warm at 6:45 AM so I walked for 1/2 hr. around the neighborhood - the birdsong was amazing and the air perfect. Then last evening early before dark a cold front blew through - the shortest storm I can recall - huge wind, black sky, torrential rain, dead wood falling from the oaks around the house....for all of 4 minutes, then the temps. dropped drastically and we went below freezing overnight! Sunny today but chilly and breezy, just as a March day should be I guess.

    Hugs - Mary

P.S. Annie, I looked at Andy's blog and see he is really into sea kayaking. I kick myself often wishing I'd done that in Antarctica last year - many on board our ship did - I was just a 'scaredy cat' as I've only kayaked on a warm, calm, California lake, and am not experienced at all!
