Italia part three

The last leg of our holiday was to Milano.
We got the train from Verona......and arrived once again back in the
stunning train station. We checked into our hotel, just a standard chain hotel
that could be the same anywhere in the world.
We had been spoilt by Verona .....
Milan is a stunning city but sadly it didn't tug at my heart strings.
Some amazing architecture but as soon as you turn off the main thoroughfares
you could be in any European city.

We ate that night at a great little restaurant in the main shopping mall the
Galleria Vittorio Emmanuel II. Which is stunning and a must if you go.
We strolled round the main sights and headed back to our hotel.
We had the whole of Sunday to explore further the Duomo top right
of collage above was breath taking.
We cooled down in street cafes and watched the hustle and bustle go by.
Then we strolled down the elite shopping area, where bodyguards
manned the doors of the shops and chauffeurs waited by slick shiny cars.

We idly window shopped but to be honest its just not me......my heart was in Verona.
So a full day was enough for me.

  1. Beautiful - I love Italy but have not visited these particular places. Thanks for sharing the lovely buildings - they certainly had all the high prices designer shops there I see!
