just around the corner

Just around the corner is the weekend.......
If I stand on my tiptoes I can almost see it.
Today is my day off so catching up on household chores.
Have taken the dogs a walk in the rain.
Will make some time to curl up with a cuppa and look through some magazines.
Andy is also back from a buisiness trip tonight too :-)

So inspired by Sharon here I did this yesterday.

Its been raining a lot up here, but I did find a splash of colour in the garden

most of the leaves have fallen, the stream is looking bare.

Rannoch having a nosey out of the window.
Would you believe they were the same size 5 months ago.

I have just had another peep and the weekend is even nearer
Hope you all have a great one :-)

Dreich

Dreich (Old Scots origin)
"A combination of dull, overcast, drizzly, cold, misty and miserable weather. At least 4 of the above adjectives must apply before the weather is truly dreich."

I love the word dreich and today I can truely say we have had at least 4 adjectives.

So returning home from work it's lamps on

cook a scrummy chilli con carne for tea
curl up in front of the fire and sip wine
thats the plan for tonight.

........and oh before I forget
our gorgeous pup now just over 5 months old
passed puppy class

have a lovely weekend  :-)

an evening stroll with the dogs....

Rannoch is now 12 weeks old and seems to grow every day.
He is a lovely gentle natured dog and a joy to have.
Don't get me wrong he is still a mad gambling puppy that loves to play and chew Sparky.
Last night whilst it was dry we went a lovely local walk by a lochan.
Amazingly they both sat still long enough for this picture.

We had another go taking a picture of them capturing the mountain behind.

Exciting times .....

After being patient something I don't do very well my new boat is almost ready to collect.
I first started to Kayak over 3 years ago and even then began aspiring to have a rockpool.
So after lots of thought the colours were chosen, I designed the graphics as you can with Rockpools.
Hopefully we will be getting the all to go collect it soon.
My confidence took a major knock about 7 months ago when in Kayaking termanology I went for a swim,
for me it was very scary. I am now ready to get back into a sport that I love :-)

I will be the proud owner of one of these.

The picture above is one of Andy's taken on a recent trip, notice the fin of a basking
shark. It swam right under his kayak :-)

Whilst I am on the subject of excting things and most definately last but by no means least. I am really excited about collecting the new member of our family on saturday.
He is a gorgeous 8 week old English Pointer who will become a great companion for Sparky, Andy and I.
Lots more pictures very soon.
