ramblings of an optomistic spirit

frosty days.

This morning was a frosty day, the steam was rising from the loch.
As the sun peered over the mountain tops, it was stunning.
Sadly I was too busy scraping the ice from my car, before driving to work to capture a photo.

I love long walks at this time of year.

The autumnal colours are fantastic in the sunlight
The loch looked peaceful when I arrived home after work, all the boats and yachts
are now been taken off the water for winter .
Wellies on for a long dog walk by the shore then back home.
The stove stoked up for a cosy evening a bowl of below and some fresh granary bread for tea
Hmmm sunny frosty days I love them.

  6. Such different weather in our part of the world. In the high 80s - sundress weather. I got home at 3:00 so we could walk on the beach at low tide and get our feet wet. The tide was so low we could see starfish exposed on the jetties.
    Enjoy your fall!

  8. I love the first picture - the shadow is amazing.

No frost here yet, but it is getting mighty chilly. Hot water bottles, fingerless mitts and blankets all round.

  10. I'm trying to figure out where in Scotland you are Annie. I'm on Loch Long and sat up lately to see the Northern Lights (but I think the mountain is in the way!) Your photos of them are wonderful. We too have had some beautiful frosty mornings and there is snow on the hills today!
