2013

Hello and " Happy New Year" to you all.

Well 2012 has truely been a year of ups and downs for me.
I am hoping 2013 has more ups than downs.

For the first time in my life there were just two of us for Christmas Day !
It was weird but nice too.
My boys and my mum then descended on us a couple of days later for a few days.

DIY ....has pretty much taken over our lives recently and a short break from it
to recharge our batteries is well overdue. We are kitchened and bathroomed out !

We did manage to get out for some lovely walks.

  1. Scotland is so beautiful - nowhere in the world has such extraordinary colours in its mountains. Lovely, and may it be a year of 'ups' all through 2013 for you.

  3. Annie,
Happy New year to you too and hope you have a good 2013 too and they can sort out the problem that you have recently discovered. I am thinking of you. Your walks look wonderful, it looks as if you have better weather than us during the holidays.

  6. Question about the pile of stones. Is it a marker or what? Just curious. I've seen similar stone markers on trips to Canada. I love your pictures. Most of my ancestors are from Ireland and Scotland. Would love to visit both countries. X.

    1. This particular one isn't a marker, its just a cairn in a local beauty spot.Small world isn't my Dads Irish and I was lucky enough to move there when my sons were young, spent almost 5 years there, till I relocated to Scotland.
